Marshmallow People and the Suffocating Despair of Existence Jason Steele 9781540490377 Books Reviews
Im lost for words
It really brings in sharp focus the existential horror of living in a souless, purposeless, uncaring universe. Would highly recommend.
I bought this as part of my dirty santa gift (and to support filmcow I guess), but the true gift here is disappointment.
It was a very mediocre experience for $12. It made me chuckle! I was promised soul-crushing truths like how all the coral reefs were dying. I only learnt that an athame is a ceremonial dagger. That isn't horrible at all! it's educational, Jason.
The art was average, the story was average, and it felt similar enough to the animations. I just wouldn't pay $12 for every 5 minute animation.
It's really only good for collecting and you'd probably be better off buying a shirt or something instead.
Here are some sad facts
1) When hamster wheels are too small, they frequently cause spinal problems! (most are too small)
2) One of the Mars rovers was programmed to play "Happy Birthday" by itself. You may have more in common with robots than you think.
3) Your brain is probably beginning to deteriorate by the time you're 30.
4) Pigs can experience depression. You have more in common with pigs than you... we both know you have a lot in common with pigs.
5) CPR rarely succeeds.
6) Sloths move slow enough that they sometimes mistake their arms for branches and try grabbing them, resulting in a fatal drop.
Happy Holidays!
very funny!
It's funny. It went a different direction than I thought it would, but you can't deny the result.
Bought this for my dirty Santa to support the author. Felt genuine remorse for the person who got it. Would do again.
I could not think of a more humorous YouTube celebrity than Jason Steele. Jason Steele offers everything that is involved with comedy and "Marshmallow People and the Suffocating Despair of Existence" clearly displays it.
While I was impressed with this storybook, I do find it slightly less impressive than "Charlie the Unicorn Lost in Dreamspace" and hence, I gave "Marshmallow People and the Suffocating Despair of Existence" four stars, as opposed to five stars. Also, keep in mind that if you think that this will be a storybook for your children along the lines of "Pat the Bunny", you are in for a very large shock!
